The project consisted of designing a poster and logo with variations. The design would be used for a symposium on healing from state violence.
Éduconnexion is a non profit organization dedicated to social change, ecology and youth programming for marginalized communities.
When social healing comes to mind, I think about how to best honour and center survivors and those on the receiving end of abuse. I wanted the logo and visuals to be representative of giving someone their flowers when they need it the most.
The process began with a design that incorporated more facial expressions, geometric shapes and sharp corners. Through different iterations, I came to the final version that is a silhouette of human-like tree and bouquet. This version incorporates botanical arrangements with rounded corners and warm tones.
